Storm chaser Bill Doms documented a brief but photogenic tornado in Pope county Minnesota on May 1, 2012. The parent mesocyclone went on to produce several other dust whirls from near Sedan, MN to north of Spring Hill, MN.

Storm chaser Aaron Estman documented several tornadoes and funnels on a daytime storm east and northeast of Woodward, Oklahoma, during the April 14, 2012 Great Plains tornado outbreak. Several hours later, Woodward was devastated by an EF-3 tornado that occurred just after midnight on April 15.

TVN witnessed at least four tornadoes on April 9th in northwest Oklahoma by the town of Woodward. One of the tornadoes was a multiple vortex that completely changed directions and came back across a field to within 50 yards of the chasers.

On April 3, 2012, David Horner documented this destructive tornado in Kennedale, Texas from the southbound lane of U.S. 287 just south of I-20. This tornado eventually grew to 1/4 mile in width, traveled into nearby Arlington and caused extensive damage; it was rated EF-2.
